Mega Boat Engines LLC – Return, Exchange, Damage & Warranty Policy

Mega Boat Engines LLC is committed to customer satisfaction and reliable product support. This policy outlines the conditions for returns, exchanges, damages, and warranty assistance. By purchasing from Mega Boat Engines LLC, customers agree to the following terms.


1. General Return Eligibility

Customers may request a return for eligible products within 14 days of the delivery date, as confirmed by the shipping carrier.
To qualify, returned items must meet all of the following requirements:

  • The product is new, unused, and uninstalled

  • All original packaging, manuals, accessories, and components are included

  • External and internal packaging is intact and shows no excessive damage beyond normal shipping wear

  • A valid proof of purchase (invoice, receipt, or packing slip) is provided

  • The return request has been pre-approved by Mega Boat Engines LLC in writing or through your online customer account

Returns sent without authorization, without identifying information (name or order number), or without clear intent will be denied and held at the sender’s expense.

Restocking Fees & Shipping Costs

For returns made without cause (e.g., buyer’s remorse, change of mind, non-defective reasons):

  • A 10% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund

  • The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, including:

    • Original shipping

    • Return shipping


2. Outboard Motor Return Policy

2.1 Eligibility Requirements

Outboard motor returns may be approved only if:

  • The motor is unused, uninstalled, and not titled

  • Original packaging is included and undamaged (outer carton may be opened)

  • All documentation and components are included

  • The return request is submitted within 7 days of delivery

  • The return is pre-approved by Mega Boat Engines LLC

2.2 Return Coordination & Costs

Mega Boat Engines LLC will arrange all shipping logistics for approved motor returns.
The customer is responsible for all non-refundable associated costs, including:

  • Return freight charges

  • Manufacturer processing or registration cancellation fees

Units showing signs of use, installation, tampering, or improper repackaging will be refused.
Returns made without cause will incur the 10% restocking fee and all related shipping charges.


3. Warranty & Mechanical Issues

Performance issues or mechanical malfunctions are not grounds for return.
These matters fall under the manufacturer’s warranty.

3.1 Warranty Coverage

Typical coverage:

  • Outboard motors: up to 5-year limited warranty

  • Electronics and accessories: approximately 2 years
    (Varies by brand and promotional period)

If issues persist, Mega Boat Engines LLC will refer the customer to a local authorized service dealer (e.g., Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Mercury) for diagnosis and repair.


4. Exchange Policy

Exchanges are permitted under the following conditions:

  • The original product must be returned, inspected, and approved

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the exchange is due to a Mega Boat Engines LLC error

  • Replacement product availability is not guaranteed

To expedite the process, customers may purchase a new item and return the original product separately.


5. Return Procedure

5.1 How to Initiate a Return

Submit a return request via your customer account or email:

  • Reason for return

  • Request for refund or exchange

  • Whether a return label is needed (cost will be deducted, if applicable)

5.2 Packaging & Shipping Requirements

  • Items must be returned in original condition with all documentation

  • Shipping labels must be placed on the outer carton only

  • Do not attach labels directly to product packaging

  • Improper packaging may result in a denied return or reduced refund

6. Damaged Shipments

Customers must inspect deliveries immediately and report any damage within 3 calendar days to:

6.1 Freight & Outboard Motor Deliveries

Before signing the delivery receipt:

  • Inspect packaging and product for visible damage

  • Document and note any damage with the delivery carrier

  • Do not refuse delivery, even if damage is observed

Failure to document damage at delivery may affect the ability to file a successful freight claim.

6.2 Damage Claim Requirements

Customers must retain all original packaging, including:

  • Outer cartons

  • Internal foam supports

  • Bubble wrap

  • Cardboard inserts

Mega Boat Engines LLC will file a freight damage claim on behalf of the customer if notified in time.
Resolutions may include:

  • Replacement parts

  • Partial credit

  • Other corrective action as determined appropriate

Mega Boat Engines LLC is not responsible for damage beyond its direct control.


7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Outboard motors (unless approved under Section 2)

  • Custom, modified, or personalized items

  • Special-order or non-stock products

  • Any item used, damaged, or altered after delivery


8. Refunds

Approved refunds are processed within 3 business days of inspection and issued to the original payment method.
Processing times may vary depending on the customer’s financial institution.
