The Tohatsu MFS65 Jet outboard motors are designed with a unique SOHC-4V configuration, a standout feature in their class where competitors often rely on SOHC-2V or DOHC-4V designs. The strategically placed spark plugs in the center of each combustion chamber facilitate optimal heat conduction and efficient combustion, resulting in robust performance and excellent fuel efficiency. Additionally, these motors boast an even-length Intake Manifold, a 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust, and a fine-tuned ECU, which collectively deliver an exhilarating, performance-inspired engine sound. The large capacity idle port dampens the exhaust flow, significantly reducing noise at idle.

One of the standout features of these models is their adjustable idling and trolling speed, easily controlled via the key switch on the remote control box or the multi-function tiller handle, allowing adjustments from 650 to 850 RPMs in five steps. The optional Multi-Function Tiller Handle enhances smooth control and ease of operation with integrated features such as a key switch, stop switch, adjustable idle speed control, big-shift handle, and tilt & trim switch on the twist throttle grip end. These outboards are ideal for navigating shallow and rugged waterways, enabling exploration of hard-to-reach places that may be inaccessible with a propeller-driven outboard.
